How to get a verified address

To verify your address, use the address search tool when you create a new address in the checkout or edit an existing address in your account settings. By selecting one of the valid addresses from the suggested address results, you can ensure that your address is verified.

How do you know if your address is verified

A verified address will have been selected from the address search tool at checkout as shown below.

This ensures that the address is formatted correctly. If you are using an older saved address, or have entered the address details manually, your address will be unverified. 

If you select an express delivery option and use an unverified address, the following error message is displayed at the final stage of checkout:

Why is a verified address important?

If we cannot verify your address, we may not be able to offer you our full range of delivery options. Some of our delivery options are only available in specific areas, and we use our verified address database to check whether your address is eligible. If your address is not in the list of suggestions, don't worry, you can still create your address manually but it will not eligible for express shipping.
