We’ve given our website a makeover! You may have noticed our website has a fresh new look, but don’t worry – it’s still the Mighty Ape you know and love plus more.
We’ve migrated to a new sales platform and updated the website as part of our ongoing commitment to improving shopping experiences for online shoppers. This has enabled us to introduce the Mighty Ape Marketplace, which we’re excited to share with you. Through Marketplace we will bring an even wider range of products to Kiwi consumers, offering more choice than ever before.
Some things on the website will be different and some features are still work in progress during the launch window. As with any new launch, we are experiencing some teething issues and are aware that some features are not working correctly. These issues are being documented, prioritised and worked on. We thank you for your patience at this time. Here’s some information and updates to help you navigate our new website and features.
Pick Ups Update
Our Pick Ups service is now fully restored. Any items stocked in our Silverdale, Auckland warehouse will be available to order for Pick Up. Simply look for the 'Pick Up' option during checkout. Please note, items not available in Auckland, on Pre-Order, or not currently in stock, will not be available for Pick Up. We will work on expanding availability as we continue to make improvements to the site.
Marketplace
We’ve officially launched Marketplace, allowing us to expand our product range by partnering with third-party sellers. This means more variety and choice for you, all from trusted sellers.
We’ve already welcomed several Marketplace sellers onboard and are continuously expanding with more partners in the coming weeks to bring you an even wider range of products.
How to spot Marketplace items:
We’ve made it easy to spot Marketplace seller items. Look for the Marketplace badge on product tiles and product pages to easily identify items sold by our third-party partners.
Keep an eye out for the Mighty Ape icon on product tiles and pages to quickly spot items sold directly by Mighty Ape. All orders for in stock items from Mighty Ape will continue to receive the same super-fast delivery that we’re known for!
Primate
We’ve made it even easier to join Primate! You can now sign up in the trolley during checkout and start enjoying the benefits right away.
Primate members enjoy a number of benefits including free delivery on all eligible products, Jungle Express discounts, early access to selected site-wide sales, exclusive deals, access to Mighty Ape Travel holiday packages and deals, discounted Mighty Mobile plans and more.
Primate starts from $5 per month under a yearly plan or $24 per 90 days. If you selected a free trial period, Primate will be charged at $24 per 90 days after the free trial ends. If you do not wish to continue with Primate after the free trial, or want to pay for a yearly membership, make sure to swing by your account to cancel your membership before it renews or select the annual membership.
We're currently experiencing some teething issues with Primate, which may cause Primate subscription statuses to display incorrectly in some customer Account Dashboards. We’re actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible. If you encounter any issues managing your Primate membership or accessing Primate benefits, please contact our customer service team for assistance.
Payment Methods
We’re working on expanding the range of payment options available to Mighty Ape customers. Here are the latest updates to payment methods at Mighty Ape:

Online EFTPOS
We’ve onboarded even more banks to make it easier to pay using Online EFTPOS. If you’re an ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Westpac, or Cooperative Bank customer and you have the respective mobile app installed on your phone, you can pay for your order using Online EFTPOS. -
Internet Banking & POLi
These options are temporarily unavailable following our site relaunch on October 29th. We’re working on restoring these soon. If you selected Internet Banking for orders placed before October 29th, you can still complete payment as normal. In the meantime, Online EFTPOS is available as an alternative. -

Existing payments such as Afterpay, Klarna, and debit/credit cards are still valid payment methods. Swing by our Payment Methods Help Centre article for more information about all of our available payment methods.
Pre-order Payments
Pre-orders are available on our new website with full payment up front. We understand how important pre-ordering is, especially for our gaming customers who often pre-order highly anticipated titles and consoles well in advance to secure their items for release day delivery. Rest assured, we're actively working on a solution to bring back the option to pre-order without paying the full amount upfront, and we’ll roll this out as soon as possible. Watch this space.
Please note, this change does not affect existing pre-orders placed before October 29th. Payment for these orders will be taken when they're ready to dispatch.
Jungle Express is available!
Our Jungle Express same-day delivery service is available as normal for customers in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.
On the new website our product tiles and product pages currently only display our standard delivery information. Fear not, however, Jungle Express will be presented as a delivery option in the Trolley for all eligible orders when you checkout. We are working on an update to make Jungle Express delivery information visible on product tiles and pages very soon!
All Jungle Express orders placed before cutoff time are delivered same-day! Our cutoff times are as follows:
- Auckland: 11:00am
- Wellington: 11:30am
- Christchurch: 11:30am
Product Reviews & Ratings Update
Our existing customer-submitted product ratings and reviews are not currently displaying on product pages following our website update this week. We understand how valuable product reviews are for making informed purchasing decisions, and we’re working to restore them as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience!
